Our lamp is a dual purpose product that functions both as a table lamp and an emergency light. When AC power is available the lamp performs as any other table lamp.  What makes our product unique is its performance in the event of loss of AC power.  When AC power is lost, the base of our lamp illuminates automatically, with no human interaction, with 32 high power LEDs to prevent the consumer from being plunged in to darkness.  The lamp is also part of the green movement that the country is taking.  By not filing our landfills with used batteries from flashlights and lanterns we are environmentally responsible.  The lamp socket will accept incandescent, CFL and LED bulbs.
